These terms apply to all bookings made with Silk Road Tours (“we”, “us”), a licensed Egyptian travel agency located at 6 Ramada Hotel St., Old Hadayek Al Ahram, Giza, Egypt. By submitting a booking request or confirming a proposal you agree to them.
1. Requests, proposals and confirmation
Requests sent through our website, WhatsApp, phone or email are enquiries, not bookings. A booking is confirmed only when we send a written confirmation and the required deposit has been received.
2. Prices
Prices shown on the website are “starting from” prices per person (or per vehicle where stated) and depend on dates, availability, occupancy and exchange rates. The price in your written proposal is the price that applies. Taxes, fuel and government fees may change after confirmation if changed by the supplier or authorities.
3. Payment
A deposit is due at confirmation and the balance before travel, as stated in your proposal. Payment can be made by bank transfer, card or cash at our office. Flight tickets, visas and Hajj or Umrah programs may require full payment at booking.
4. Changes and cancellations
Changes requested by you are subject to availability and any supplier charges. Cancellation charges are set out in our Refund Policy and in your proposal.
5. Travel documents
You are responsible for holding a valid passport (at least six months’ validity), visas, vaccinations and any other documents required for your journey. We assist with visa applications but the decision belongs to the relevant embassy or authority.
6. Hajj and Umrah
Religious programs follow the regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, which may change quotas, requirements or dates. We will inform you of any such changes as soon as we are notified.
7. Our responsibility
We select our hotels, transport and guides with care and are responsible for providing the services in your confirmation. We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, such as weather, strikes, government action, airline schedule changes or health emergencies.
8. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and luggage.
9. Governing law
