This page explains how you can pay Silk Road Tours for your booking, in which currencies, and how your payment is protected.
Payment methods
- Credit and debit cards online: Visa, Mastercard and Meeza, through the secure payment page of our licensed payment provider.
- Bank transfer: to our company bank account. The account details are sent with your proposal.
- Cash: at our office in Giza, against an official receipt.
Currencies
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD), and some local services in Egyptian pounds (EGP). You are charged in the currency shown on your proposal or on the payment page. If your card is in a different currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee.
When you pay
- A deposit (usually 25% to 50%) confirms your booking. The balance is due before travel, on the date stated in your proposal.
- Flight tickets, visas, Hajj and Umrah programs and peak-season bookings may require full payment at booking.
- Your booking is confirmed only after the payment is received and we send you a written confirmation.
Payment security
- Card details are entered only on the encrypted page of our payment provider, which is certified to the PCI DSS standard. We never see or store your full card number or CVV.
- Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment with 3-D Secure (a one-time code or your banking app).
- Our whole website uses SSL encryption (https).
Receipts
After every payment you receive a confirmation by email or WhatsApp with the amount, the currency and your booking reference. Ask us at any time for an official invoice.
Failed or duplicate payments
If a payment fails but the amount is taken from your account, or you are charged twice, contact us with the date and amount. We check with our payment provider and refund any amount we did not receive or that was charged twice.
Refunds
Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy and are paid to the same card or account, in the currency of the original payment.
